Undeniable Evidence Confirms India’s Involvement in Cross-Border Terrorism Against Pakistan: DG ISPR
  • The military spokesperson stated that India has yet to provide a single shred of evidence to support its allegations following the Pahalgam attack.

  • Lieutenant General Chaudhry claimed that India is actively operating and supporting terrorist networks within Pakistani territory.

  • He further revealed that forensic analysis of materials recovered from a captured terrorist confirmed the involvement of four Indian Army officials.

RAWALPINDI: Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, categorically rejected India's baseless allegations following the Pahalgam attack. In a detailed press briefing, he presented concrete evidence of India’s state-sponsored cross-border terrorism in Pakistan, particularly in the province of Balochistan.

Addressing a significant press conference to update the nation on Pakistan’s security landscape and counter India’s unfounded accusations, the DG ISPR stated, “It has been seven days since the Pahalgam attack, yet not a shred of evidence has been presented to support the baseless allegations made against Pakistan.”

Relations between Pakistan and India deteriorated sharply after the April 22 attack in Pahalgam—a tourist hotspot in Indian-Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir—where 26 individuals, mostly tourists, were killed by unidentified gunmen. No group has claimed responsibility for the assault.

Despite the absence of evidence, India hastily accused Pakistan of orchestrating the attack. In response, it initiated several diplomatic downgrades, including the suspension of the decades-old Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), which governs water-sharing between the two nations under World Bank supervision.

Islamabad strongly rejected the accusations. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for a neutral and independent investigation into the incident to determine the actual perpetrators.

General Chaudhry emphasized that India has been persistently involved in sponsoring terrorism within Pakistan. He asserted that Indian agencies operate and support terrorist networks aimed at destabilizing Pakistan’s internal security.

“We will demonstrate how India has established and operated a terror network inside Pakistan. This network has facilitated the delivery of explosives, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and other materials to target both military personnel and innocent civilians,” he stated.

The army spokesperson stressed that the evidence being presented represents only a fraction of the broader reality of Indian state-sponsored terrorism.

“On April 25, just four days ago, a terrorist trained and sponsored by India—who was also a Pakistani citizen—was apprehended near the Jhelum bus stand. From his possession, one IED, two mobile phones, and Rs. 70,000 in cash were recovered,” he revealed. Subsequent investigations led to the discovery of an Indian-origin drone and Rs. 1 million in cash from his residence.

Forensic analysis of the recovered materials produced irrefutable evidence, which General Chaudhry stated could withstand scrutiny from any credible, independent investigative body.

He identified the handler as a serving junior commissioned officer (JCO) of the Indian Army—Subedar Sukvinder—who had directed the delivery and collection of the IED.

“This evidence proves how India is orchestrating terrorism inside Pakistan through serving officers and JCOs in its army,” Lt Gen Chaudhry declared.

He added that further forensic analysis uncovered the involvement of four Indian army personnel: Major Sandeep Verma alias Sameer (the primary handler and commanding officer in Occupied Kashmir), Subedar Sukvinder alias Sikander, Havildar Amit alias Adil Aman, and another unnamed Indian soldier.

General Chaudhry revealed that Major Sandeep had recruited a terrorist named Abdul Majeed and shared an audio recording of their conversation, discussing methods of payment.

“Listen carefully to the words of a serving Indian major. He openly admits to orchestrating terror operations from Balochistan to Lahore, detailing routes of entry and mechanisms of terror financing,” Chaudhry said.

He described the audio clip as “indisputable proof of state-sponsored terrorism,” collected from a single terrorist cell dismantled by the military.

According to Chaudhry, the Indian-trained terrorist was responsible for four separate IED attacks. These IEDs were delivered via drones, further proving organized cross-border involvement.

He also emphasized that the operations were not the work of India's intelligence agency, RAW, but rather the Indian Army itself—highlighting a new level of direct military involvement in sponsoring terrorism.

“The fourth terror attack took place following the Pahalgam incident,” he noted, adding that the terrorist had been directed to collect an IED from a specified location near Nadala on April 22 and carry out an attack at a busy bus stand the following day.

The suspect was arrested on April 25, he confirmed.

Following the Pahalgam incident, Chaudhry explained that India mobilized all its terrorist assets operating in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, based on credible intelligence.

He stated that the banned outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to by the state as "Fitna-al-Khawarij," along with independent terrorist cells, had been instructed to escalate their activities.

This intelligence, he said, was validated two nights prior when Pakistani security forces successfully thwarted a large infiltration attempt, killing 54 terrorists attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

To date, 71 terrorists have been neutralized, with an additional 17 killed in follow-up operations, according to the DG ISPR.

Earlier the same day, Pakistan Army shot down an Indian quadcopter drone near the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as per state media reports. This occurred amid ongoing cross-border skirmishes, marking the fifth consecutive night of exchange of fire between Indian and Pakistani forces after years of relative calm.

Speaking separately on the evolving situation, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that the border was under strict surveillance and warned that any violation would be met with a “proportionate response.”

In response to a question regarding whether the rise in tensions could be linked to upcoming Indian elections, the Interior Minister noted that the Indian government likely had “multiple political motives.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Mission to the United Nations stated that the country possessed “credible evidence” confirming that the recent Jaffar Express train attack had been externally orchestrated by regional adversaries.

The attack occurred on March 11, when members of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) hijacked the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express train, which was carrying 440 passengers. The assailants opened fire and took several hostages.

A comprehensive two-day operation was launched by security forces and concluded on March 12. DG Chaudhry confirmed that all 33 terrorists involved were neutralized, and no hostages were harmed in the final phase of the rescue mission.
